Lucra Partners with Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps to Keep Campers Connected Beyond Summer through Games

Lucra, the leading social competition platform, announced a partnership with Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps to keep campers ages 13 and up competing and connected year-round. Lucra's mini-games will live inside a new Play By Play app, giving campers free-to-play sports games they can play against each other for rewards and discounts, at camp and in the months between.

Play By Play runs one-week day and overnight sports broadcasting camps for kids ages 10 to 18 in cities across the U.S. and Canada, along with virtual programs and an advanced workshop. Campers learn play-by-play, sideline reporting, sports talk radio, podcasting, and debate shows from working broadcasters, then host their own on-camera shows. Dozens of former campers have gone on to careers in professional sports broadcasting.

The app is built to keep the Play By Play community active between summers, bringing trivia, live commentating, and Lucra's mini-games into one place. It extends a calendar that already includes virtual activities from October through April. Campers can challenge the friends they met at camp, climb leaderboards, and win prizes whether they're on campus in July or at home in February, with Lucra powering scoring, leaderboards, and reward delivery behind the scenes.

"Camp builds a lot of lifelong friendships, and in the case of Play by Play, it also fosters future professional and industry relationships. Lucra’s mobile mini-games give Play By Play campers a reason to keep competing with those friends after they head home, so they show up next summer already connected to one another and to the Play by Play experience. Jeremy and Steven have built a program kids come back to year after year, and we're excited to be part of the app that keeps them together in between," said Dylan Robbins, Founder and CEO of Lucra.

"Camp is one week, but our community is year-round. Our new app gives campers a place to stay connected between sessions and between summers, and Lucra's mini-games make it easy to jump in, compete, and win something along the way," said Steven Goldstein, Co-Owner of Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps.

The app and Lucra's mini-games will be available to campers in the coming months. Families can learn more and register at www.playbyplaycamps.com.
